Transitioning from my Instagram platform, Hikingprogirl, to creating Hikingoproguide has been an exciting step. While social media has allowed me to build an incredible community, my goal now is to bring that passion directly to the trails. Guiding hiking tours is a dream come true. I’m passionate about meeting people from around the world and making each one feel special. I love organizing hiking events, backpacking trips, and road trips, bringing people together to share the adventure and joy of the outdoors.

I'm Mélissa, a big city girl with a heart divided between the hustle and bustle of Montréal and the breathtaking mountains of beautiful British Columbia, my second home for the past two decades. Life's journey has led me to discover the serenity of the west coast, and it's a love affair that continues to grow.
In 2020, during the pandemic, I stumbled upon a transformative chapter of my life. Little did I know, lacing up my boots and hitting the trails would not only introduce me to the wonders of the great outdoors but also lead me to a profound self-discovery. It became more than a hobby; it became my passion.
As the saying goes, sometimes you need to climb a mountain to see the world from a different perspective. In my case, I needed those mountain trails to guide me.
